The purpose of this role is to work in the bindery, packaging and mailing department doing a variety of tasks to complete customer orders.  The role will involve producing, sorting, organizing, packaging print and mailing products into boxes or containers that are going directly to a customer.  It will also include counting, sorting, shrink wrapping, booklet making, lamination, creasing/folding, cutting, and quality control.

Market Description

Assembles, binds, and/or packages materials and products manually. 

Performs basic quality control checks including measuring, weighing, strength testing, package counts, and evaluating product or package appearance. 

Folds & tapes boxes, applies labels, and stacks boxes on pallets according to direction. 

High school diploma or its equivalent preferred and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. 

Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. 

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. 

Works under immediate supervision. 

Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. 

Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.

Responsibilities

• Will do a variety of production functions such as assembly, packaging, processing and counting orders, etc.
• Be responsible for meeting production unit and task demand based on area and process
• Have a high level of quality
• Working in the mailing department to produce and package a variety of customer products
• Share ideas and suggestions to improve processes and procedures.
• Be able to work at a fast pace while maintaining a high level of quality
• Be willing to multi task
• Work well with others, communicate clearly and work in a team environment

Work Schedules and Arrangements

• Onsite position
• Hourly - $20-$25 per hour, depending on packaging and mailing experience
• Hours
  • 8am-530pm Monday through Friday
