Position Summary:
As an Account Manager at SpeedPro Orlando, you are the primary owner of relationships with an assigned portfolio of existing clients, ensuring they feel supported and understood.
In this role, you act as a clientfacing print specialist, managing projects from initial inquiry through final installation and postproject followup. You combine relationship management with handson design and prepress work, using Adobe Creative Suite to set up and troubleshoot wideformat print files for production.
Key Responsibilities:
Client management & Project Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building longterm relationships and understanding their brand, goals, and project needs.
- Manage projects from initial inquiry through final installation, including discovery, scoping, quoting, approvals, scheduling, and postinstallation followup.
- Lead client communication with clear timelines, status updates, and proactive discussion of risks, changes, or delays.
- Create accurate estimates, work orders, and change orders that balance client expectations, production realities, and profitability.
- Coordinate with production, sewing, and install teams to ensure jobs are correctly queued, materials/hardware are available, and installation logistics are confirmed.
- Maintain complete and accurate job records in the MIS/CRM, including notes, artwork versions, proofs, approvals, schedules, and install details.
- Handle client issues and escalations with a solutionsoriented mindset, protecting both client satisfaction and studio operations.
- Identify upsell and crosssell opportunities (additional signage, campaigns, vehicles, LEDs, smart film, SEG systems).
Design, prepress & technical coordination
- Create or adjust artwork in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for wideformat outputs (vehicle wraps, wall murals, window graphics, banners, SEG, etc.).
- Preflight and prepare files by confirming dimensions, resolution, bleed, color mode/profiles, and paneling for each substrate and printer.
- Generate clear proofs for client review and manage revisions efficiently while maintaining version control and production feasibility.
- Collaborate with production and sewing teams to ensure file setups, materials, and finishing specs are accurate and achievable.
- Coordinate with the install manager and installers on site surveys, measurements, hardware needs, and installation logistics.
- Advise clients on material options, finishing methods, and installation approaches specific to wideformat printing.
- Leverage your graphic design background to provide creative input and ensure design specifications meet client expectations and company quality standards.
- Utilize Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and related software for productionready graphic design tasks.
Quality assurance & proof review
- Carefully review all artwork and proofs before client review, checking for design errors, typos, alignment issues, image quality problems, paneling accuracy, and correct branding elements.
- Verify that dimensions, scale, and bleed match project specifications and installation conditions.
- Confirm that files are correctly set up for production, including color mode/profiles, resolution, cut paths, panel breaks, overlaps, and finishing marks.
- Follow internal checklists and proofing procedures before releasing jobs to production to reduce reprints, material waste, and install issues.
- Collaborate with production and install teams to catch potential issues early (e.g., readability at distance, hardware conflicts, site constraints) and adjust designs or specs before printing.
- Document proof approvals and any exceptions or special instructions to maintain a clear, auditable trail for each job.
Required qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of graphic design / prepress experience in a print, sign, or wideformat environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for productionready layout and file preparation.
- Working knowledge of wideformat print workflows: substrates, laminates, color, paneling, and finishing.
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing proofs, measurements, and specifications.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to explain technical concepts to nontechnical clients.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fastpaced production environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Degree in Graphic Design.
- Experience as a prepress operator, production artist, or wideformat designer.
- Experience with RIP software and print queues (e.g., Onyx, Caldera, or similar).
- Familiarity with vehicle wraps and complex installation constraints (paneling, seams, onsite conditions).
- Previous experience in customer service, sales support, or project coordination.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
