Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
FLSA Category: Hourly, Non-Exempt (Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour)
Reports to: HR Manager
Summary: Speed North America is seeking an on-site Human Resources Generalist to support the HR Manager to meet the business needs of the company. This position will be responsible for supporting the full employment cycle, including, but not limited to, handling all recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, worker’s compensation, employee development, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate directly with the HR Manager to help build a sustainable company culture that leads to the continued growth and success of Speed North America.
- Support the recruiting, onboarding, and retention activities of the department.
- Support the management of all industrial accidents and BWC claims and reporting.
- Maintain proper employee communication and compliance for all local, state and federal regulations.
- Partner with members of the management staff to understand the business needs and align HR initiatives with the business plan and goals.
- Produce official internal and external documents such as job descriptions, offer letters, disciplinary notifications, etc.
- Create onboarding checklists and plans for educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations.
- Maintaining physical and digital information and files for employees and their employment documents, benefits and attendance records.
- Create and facilitate employee engagement activities.
- Support department managers in taking necessary disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances.
- Stay current with HR strategies, policies, and technology to enable the organization to recruit and retain employees, particularly skilled trades and technical roles.
- Perform time-card management and process bi-weekly payroll and administer benefits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree and/or HR certification, and 1-3 years of Human Resources experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effective verbal, written, and social media communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Experience with human resources information systems and manufacturing enterprise software (Paycor and Sage).
