ABOUT SPEECHLESS

Speechless is an offshore charter fishing company based in the Outer Banks, NC. We take families, first-timers, and serious anglers out to the Gulf Stream to chase tuna, mahi, wahoo, and billfish. Every trip is about more than catching fish. It is about the stories, the memories, and making people feel like they are part of the crew.

We also run , a YouTube channel with 93,000 subscribers and nearly 400 videos. Do you love saltwater fishing? Do you wish there was a channel where you could go to learn the ins and outs of fishing in a way that is fun and easy to understand? That is exactly what we built. Marcus Sheridan, "The Professor" Ron, and others share what they have learned along the way while living the salt life to its fullest.

We are not just a charter business. We are a content brand. One built on real moments on the water and a genuine commitment to educating people about fishing. Not just the highlights. Everything. The gear. The techniques. The seasons. The costs. The honest answers most channels never give.

WHY WE ARE HIRING NOW

We already have a videographer we love. So why are we posting this?

Because the opportunity in front of us is bigger than what we can capture right now.

We run trips year round. We are on the water constantly. And every single one of those days is content that is not being made because our current videographer does not live in the area. The moments are there. The stories are there. The fish are definitely there.

What we need is someone local. Someone who can be on the boat every charter. Someone who is around when the conditions are perfect, when something unexpected happens, or when we want to film a piece on gear, technique, or what it is actually like to fish the Outer Banks in January versus July.

We are not replacing someone. We are finally putting ourselves in a position to build the content operation we have always known was possible.

If you live in or near the OBX and this role sounds like your life, keep reading.

WHAT WE ARE BUILDING

Most people who want to learn how to fish have two choices. They can watch flashy highlight reels that look great and teach them nothing. Or they can sift through dry, technical content that puts them to sleep.

We are building something different.

The audience that trusts you is the audience that learns from you. That is what we believe. And that belief shapes every piece of content we create.

We want someone who can capture the raw, real moments on the water AND use those moments to teach. Why did we rig it that way? What does that technique actually do? What should a first-timer know before they ever step on a boat? What does a charter actually cost, and what is it really like? What gear works and what is a waste of money? What do experienced anglers still get wrong?

We want to show what most fishing channels are not willing to show. The full picture. The pricing. The comparisons. The honest reviews. The mistakes. The best options for different types of anglers at different levels. Not just when the fish are biting, but everything that happens before, during, and after.

This is not about making pretty videos. It is about building an audience that comes back because they trust us. And they trust us because we teach them something real every single time.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Film on the water during charter trips, capturing live fishing action, crew moments, and guest experiences
  • Shoot and edit YouTube videos that educate and entertain - technique breakdowns, gear reviews, full trip recaps, and everything in between
  • Create short-form content for Youtube Shorts, Instagram and Tik Tok
  • Develop content that covers all aspects of fishing: gear, rigging, species, seasons, what to expect, what it costs, and the honest answers anglers are actually looking for
  • Work directly with Marcus Sheridan (potentially Marcus Sheridan’s Chief of Staff, Becca) and Captain Ron to plan content that serves and grows the audience
  • Edit footage into story-driven videos that keep people watching and coming back

WHO THIS IS A GREAT FIT FOR

  • You genuinely love saltwater fishing and being on the water. This is not a job you take because it sounds cool. It is a life you want to be living.
  • You are passionate about helping people learn. You get fired up when someone understands something for the first time because of content you made.
  • You are comfortable showing the full truth, not just the best moments. You believe honest content builds better audiences than highlight reels.
  • You want to grow with a brand, not just execute tasks. You have ideas and you want to use them.
  • You are a strong storyteller with real video and editing skills.
  • You are scrappy. You can make great content with what is in front of you, not just in ideal conditions.

WHO THIS IS NOT A FIT FOR

  • You need a studio, controlled lighting, and a shot list to do your best work.
  • You want a traditional 9-to-5. Charter days start before sunrise and the schedule follows the water, not a clock.
  • You are looking for a company that tells you exactly what to make. We want a creative partner, not an order taker.
  • You are not comfortable being on a boat in open water, in wind, salt spray, and unpredictable conditions.

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT

You will not be making content for a brand that does not matter. You will be on the water with a crew that genuinely loves what they do, building an audience that already exists and is growing. Your work will be seen. Your ideas will matter. And every single day you show up, you will be doing it from one of the best offshore fishing destinations on the East Coast.

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

We are open to part-time or full-time, depending on the right person and the right fit.

Compensation is contingent on experience and hours worked, but we pay very fairly and believe in rewarding the people who help us build something exceptional. If you show up, do great work, and help this brand grow, that will be reflected in what you earn.
