Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school setting and a strong background in pediatrics. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in children, providing essential support to enhance their communication skills and overall development.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient goals.
- Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions tailored to each child's unique needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support the child’s progress.
- Provide early intervention services to children with speech and language delays.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated on best practices in speech therapy, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Experience in a school environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatric speech therapy techniques and early intervention strategies.
- Strong understanding of patient care practices and patient assessment methodologies.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to speech-language disorders.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
