JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for participating directly in the processing of payroll for assigned Charter Communications lines of business according to established processing schedule. This position provides payroll related support for all employees across the enterprise, including helpdesk phone support, direct email support, and other workflow processing systems. This job also participates in user training, system upgrade testing initiatives, and reconciliation of payroll related general ledger accounts. May specialize in one of the three areas – QC, exceptions maintenance, and garnishments processing.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the accurate and timely input and review of garnishment documents, and withholding orders including responding to court/agency requests
Maintain garnishment documentation according to department standards
Provides payroll support to all employees across the enterprise. Answer employee questions and concerns via the help desk or email
Provides support covering department help desk
Provides support and coverage for other team members when needed
Participates in corporate sponsored system training efforts
Continuously monitors daily duties for efficiency
Responsible for completing wage verification documents
Report returned or incorrectly issued garnishment checks to team manager for appropriate action
Process garnishment refunds to employees
Responsible for working with the GL group on any GL discrepancies
Ensure the accuracy of processed garnishment data through thorough review of system generated reports
Other tasks and duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
2+ years previous multi-state payroll processing experience
Minimum 1 year previous garnishment administration required
Knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS version 8.5 of higher preferred
Knowledge of Kronos timekeeping system preferred
Strong data entry experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work beyond established Mon-Fri schedule as needed. Occasional weekend work may be required
EDUCATION
High school diploma required
Some college level business classes desired
FPC required (either at hire or within 18 months)
CPP desired
