As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams — your respective department and your intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 27th, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects, and final presentations.

The base pay for this position generally is between $27.50 and $28.50. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.

- You’re a motivated rising senior student with a 3.0 GPA or higher seeking a degree in one of the following areas listed below from an accredited college or university:
- Computer Science
- This is a full-time, 10-week program designed to give you real-world experience working within the telecommunications industry in your field of choice.
- Internship program runs from May 27 through July 31, 2026.
- In addition to the role-based projects you’ll work on, you’ll also participate in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and have access to a mentor.

As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams — your respective department and your intern peer group. Internship Responsibilities May Include
- Manual Tester that has strong REST API and backend test experience
- Our team develops a set of backend microservices working to handle passive processes and manual operations on Spectrum’s Advanced In-Home Wifi router
- We are seeking to grow our manual test team as we continue to develop more features
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor’s degree between December 2026 - May 2027
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
- Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
- Strong understanding of REST concepts and API testing
- Backend microservice testing experience
- End-to-end testing experience
- Defect troubleshooting, debugging experience
- Strong test documentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Postman, Curl, Swagger
- Kafka or message-driven testing (RabbitMQ, Spark, etc)
- Commandline-oriented testing, Unix, Mac
- Kubernetes understanding and exposure
- NoSQL database testing (ElasticsearchDB, MongoDB, etc)
- Testrail test documentation software
- JIRA/Agile methodology
- Java & Spring Boot skills
- Experience developing automated tests using Junit/TestNG
- AWS exposure
- Docker understanding and exposure
