Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Sales & Trading professional to support our high-yield bond desk, focusing on institutional clients within the energy, infrastructure, maritime, and renewables sectors. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in high-yield bonds and fixed income markets while collaborating closely with senior traders and salespeople.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Support: Assist in client outreach, relationship management, and trade execution for high-yield bonds.
Trading Support: Help execute secondary market trades, monitor pricing, liquidity, and market conditions.
Market Research: Conduct research on trends, credit risk, and economic factors affecting high-yield bonds in relevant sectors.
Portfolio Analysis: Assist in risk analysis, performance tracking, and compliance for client portfolios.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, assist with daily trading documentation.
Client Solutions: Work with senior team members to create tailored bond strategies and portfolio solutions for clients.
Market Intelligence: Track market sentiment and sector developments, particularly in energy, infrastructure, and renewables.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
Licenses: FINRA Series 7, Series 63, and Series 57.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in institutional bond trading or sales with a focus on high-yield products.
Skills: Strong analytical abilities, familiarity with Bloomberg and trading platforms, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in energy, infrastructure, or renewables sectors.
Strong networking and relationship-building skills within institutional sales and trading.
Interest in global macroeconomic trends affecting the energy and infrastructure sectors.
