SUMMARY:

Oversee operators, schedule work to meet deadlines, solve problems, and train employees. Work closely with the Supervisor and serve as the bridge between operators and management. Must commit to safety, quality, and teamwork.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Actively promotes and drives a culture of safety and adheres to DuPont’s core values.
  2. Assign work to achieve maximum efficiency of workload.
  3. Monitor and train operators to meet quality standards for each part.
  4. Proficient use of the scan gun is required.
  5. Process and enter Labor/Production reports as required to ensure reliable reporting.
  6. Maintains an in-depth understanding of all production processes in their team and regularly audits compliance to all procedures.
  7. Ensure that all operators are following safety requirements.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assign all work, both planned for and emergency jobs, to staff according to skills and abilities to meet schedule deadlines.
  2. Assign housekeeping duties
  3. Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with employees, peers and supervisors and managers within SPG.
  4. Instruct operators how to run the machine properly and safely.
  5. Work with Quality Assurance in determining appropriate processes to be performed.
  6. Train employees for procedural compliance.
  7. Inspect parts and provide operators interim approval if Quality Assurance is not available. May require the use of blueprints and inspection tools.
  8. Move parts within the plant, as needed.
  9. Make suggestions to improve processes.
  10. Complete shift reports in the IQMS system.
  11. Operate injection molding machines/provide breaks as needed.
  12. Order supplies needed for the department.
  13. Identify continuous improvement ideas to improve product quality, yields and productivity
  14. Complete daily inventory monitoring.
  15. Prints labels as needed.
  16. Ensures line clearance is completed.
  17. Verify and scan documents into IQMS
  18. When necessary, provide feedback to and assist other operators to ensure a high level of team productivity, quality and yields in their work area.
  19. When issues arise, take the appropriate action using sound judgment to decide when and how to resolve them.
  20. Notify the production supervisor/manager of any employee, material, process, or scheduling issues that need higher-level resolution.
  21. Interface with other departments as necessary to ensure a high level of professionalism through effective communication.

Qualifications:

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and/or sit for 8 or more hours.

  Must be able to handle small injection molded parts or packaging components. In some cases, the use of tweezers

  and a microscope is required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision

  abilities required by this job include inspecting through a microscope.

  While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is

  occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and heat. Employees who work in a clean room environment

  must wear gowns, hair coverings, and booties.

Salary : $26 - $28
