Job Description: The CNC Machinist/Lead is responsible for ensuring production schedules are carried out according to plan. This role requires the Lead to:
- Coordinate employees, equipment, and materials/supplies to have continuous and efficient production.
- Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the shop
- Ensure safety standards are followed throughout the shop
Responsibilities
Lead Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assign personnel to operations per plan
- Repair or adjust equipment, as needed
- Ensure operations are completed on time
- Ensure parts coming off machine are to print specification
- Ensure all required documentation and records are complete and accurate
- Train and develop personnel
Qualifications
Lead Position Requirements:
- Knowledge of industry, machinery, equipment, and processes
- Previous experience managing internal relationships and team facilitation
- Scheduling experience in manufacturing
- Business systems software (excel, word, job costing systems)
- Five years related experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
Lead Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Machining experience with medical components, devices, or instruments
- Previous experience with tight tolerances
- Programming experience with CNC Machines
- Experience with set-up on CNC Machines
- Experience in troubleshooting of CNC Machines
