Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our team. This role involves managing core accounting functions such as general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable processing, payroll management, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and support the overall financial health of the company.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and perform account reconciliations to ensure data integrity
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Prepare journal entries for month-end closing activities and financial statements
- Administer bi-weekly payroll using QuickBooks
- Reconcile balance sheets and perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors
- Participate in budgeting, financial analysis, and tax preparation activities for external CPA
- Assist with annual insurance renewals
- Guide new employees through onboarding documentation and company policies
Requirements
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting roles
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations
- Skilled in account reconciliation, journal entries, balance sheet analysis, and data entry tasks
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to interpret financial statements and perform account analysis confidently
