Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO)

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to MEB and PEBLO staff
• Assist with Temporary and Permanent Disability Evaluation Board (TDEB/PDEB) processes
• Support Limited Duty (LIMDU) boards as required
• Provide guidance to active‑duty service members, clinic staff, and commands regarding disability and administrative processes
• Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate medical, specialty, subspecialty, and referral appointments
• Utilize government systems including CHCS, MHS GENESIS, and DENTRIX
• Contact patients regarding appointment coordination and changes
• Serve as a medical records technician for inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory records
• Maintain, retrieve, file, and compile medical documentation in compliance with regulatory and facility standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• 2 years of experience in a medical office, health insurance, or managed care organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of medical administrative processes; military healthcare experience preferred
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if applicable
