SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:
Our Driver-Program Aide drives Agency vehicles to transport clients to and from PROS or other related locations as scheduled; provides staffing support for Structured Skill Development Activities as assigned.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supportive teaching and feedback in structured skill development activitiesin support of clients
- Attends to vehicle maintenance and safety with supervisor
- Attends to vehicle cleanliness
- Frequent or occasional driving of personal vehicle for purpose of transporting clients in the community and/or site visits (client or work related)
- Under direction, maintains Janitorial and Program Supply storage
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Understands rehabilitation/recovery environment and is able to oversee and provide supportive feedback to structured skill teaching and practice
EDUCATION:
- High school or GED preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in an environment that provided opportunity to demonstrate/teach or provide feedback to persons learning new skills preferred
OTHER REQUIREMENTS-DRIVER-PROGRAM AID:
- Must possess a dependable vehicle with all NYS required insurance and registration. Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record and in good standing with NYS Department of Motor Vehicles
COMPENSATION: $15.18-$19.36/hour
