Wing Plan and Exercise Specialist
Team Spectrum is looking for a strategic and highly organized planning professional to support operational planning, exercise coordination, and readiness-focused initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to planning efforts, exercise execution, and cross-functional coordination for complex mission activities in a demanding environment. This position is contingent upon award to Team Spectrum.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develops, coordinates, and manages operational plans, exercise programs, contingency plans, and emergency planning activities supporting wing operations.
· Schedules and supports operations training and exercises and evaluates the effectiveness of exercise and training programs against mission requirements.
· Assists leadership with oversight of academic and military exercise and training programs to ensure certification, adequacy of instruction, and proper support.
· Interprets higher headquarters policy and translates guidance into executable operational planning, exercise, and training actions.
· Develops exercise plans, objectives, and scenario event lists and coordinates final exercise directives and execution requirements.
· Evaluates operational exercise plans and program performance, conducts critiques, debriefs participants, and prepares written after-action reports.
· Monitors readiness of communications, logistics, personnel, and support functions that directly affect mission execution and contingency response.
· Coordinates with internal and external agencies, including higher headquarters and partner organizations, to identify planning shortfalls and resolve limiting factors.
· Manages planning and scheduling data across classified and unclassified systems and tracks participation in pre-planned exercises, live events, and virtual events.
· Briefs leadership on upcoming exercise requirements, maintains exercise records and presentation materials, records meeting minutes, and supports exercise project officers throughout the planning cycle.
Required Experience:
· Minimum of four (4) years of experience working as a squadron-level or higher Plans and Exercises professional, with experience interfacing with higher headquarters for reporting and familiarity with Air Force exercise and inspection requirements
· Top Secret/SCI; NATO ACCM.
