Spectrum AC is looking for an experienced Plumbing Manager to lead the continued growth and day-to-day performance of our residential and commercial plumbing department.
For more than 20 years, Spectrum AC has provided dependable HVAC and plumbing services throughout South Florida. As our plumbing division continues to expand, we need a hands-on leader who can develop technicians, improve department performance, maintain high standards of workmanship, and create an exceptional experience for both customers and employees.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced plumbing professional or service leader who understands the technical side of the trade but is equally comfortable coaching employees, managing operations, reviewing performance, and helping build a strong, accountable team.

Your Role
As the Plumbing Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations and performance of Spectrum AC's plumbing department. You'll provide leadership and technical support to plumbers and apprentices, monitor service quality and productivity, help resolve complex field issues, and ensure customers consistently receive professional, high-quality service.
You'll work closely with company leadership, dispatch, and field employees to improve department efficiency, strengthen communication, support revenue and profitability goals, and make sure the team has the tools, training, and direction needed to succeed.
This role requires a balance of field knowledge, leadership, accountability, and business awareness. You'll be expected to identify opportunities for improvement and take an active role in developing both the department and the people within it.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and support residential and commercial plumbing technicians and apprentices
- Oversee daily plumbing operations, workload, scheduling coordination, and field performance
- Set clear expectations for workmanship, productivity, customer service, and professionalism
- Monitor department performance and address operational or performance concerns
- Review jobs for quality, efficiency, completeness, and customer satisfaction
- Provide technical assistance on complex plumbing diagnostics, repairs, and installations
- Help technicians identify appropriate repair and replacement solutions for customers
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching, performance discussions, and team meetings
- Identify training needs and coordinate technical and professional development
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and developing plumbing employees
- Ensure technicians follow company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable plumbing codes
- Work with dispatch and office teams to improve scheduling, communication, and workflow
- Review callbacks, customer concerns, and quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Monitor department revenue, labor efficiency, material usage, and other key performance indicators
- Help establish processes and standards that support department growth and profitability
- Maintain strong communication with company leadership regarding department performance, staffing, and operational needs
What We're Looking For
- Strong residential and/or commercial plumbing experience
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience within plumbing or a related service trade
- Strong understanding of plumbing diagnostics, repair, installation, and applicable codes
- Ability to coach employees and hold team members accountable to performance expectations
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment
- Comfortable reviewing performance metrics and using data to improve department results
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve escalated concerns professionally
- Experience hiring, training, or developing field employees is strongly preferred
- Journeyman or Master Plumbing License is preferred
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
