Job Title: Packaging Operator
Location: St. Louis, MO 63102
Duration: 3 Months (Possibility of extension depending upon business requirements and performance)
Work Schedule: Mon-Thurs 8 pm – 6:30 am (Night Shift)
Training: Will be 4-6 weeks on 1st shift.
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
Position Summary:
Work as a high-performance team member supporting all aspects of team performance in order to produce a high-quality product in a safe environment, while complying with all Client policies and procedures in accordance with FDA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the packaging lines in the packaging department on a daily basis.
- Perform routine quality checks to ensure that the products meet specifications.
- Perform routine safety checks to ensure that the equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Ensure process quality and compliance in accordance with established procedures and standards of the Quality System.
- Comply with and support Client’s Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures.
- Achieve performance targets for packaging lines.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for deviations.
- Participate in RCA for problems or breakdowns that occur on equipment.
- Perform and assist with preventive maintenance and autonomous maintenance on packaging production lines.
- Perform and assist with packaging line changeovers to meet department needs.
- Perform and assist with 5S and cleaning activities to consistently meet Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Execute SAP functions such as batch reconciliation, cycle counts, material movements, confirmations, and inventory control.
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Required Experience:
- 1–5 years of experience in a production environment
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Technical degree or certification preferred
- SAP experience preferred
