Position Summary
The client is seeking a Tax Senior Manager and Tax Principal to lead tax compliance, planning, advisory, and consulting engagements for a diverse client base. This person will manage client relationships, oversee complex tax work, mentor and develop tax professionals, and serve as a trusted advisor.
The role is both technical and client-facing, emphasizing project leadership, relationship development, team mentorship, and identifying additional opportunities within existing and prospective client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex tax compliance, planning, advisory, accounting, and consulting engagements
- Review complex tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Serve as a senior advisor and primary relationship contact for clients
- Provide strategic tax guidance and identify solutions based on clients' business needs
- Lead projects from planning through completion while maintaining strong client service
- Manage, mentor, and develop tax consultants and other tax professionals
- Coordinate with internal subject matter experts to deliver comprehensive solutions
- Build and expand relationships within existing client accounts
- Help identify and develop new business opportunities and prospective client relationships
- Maintain high standards for quality, responsiveness, and overall client experience
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of tax experience
- Background in a public accounting firm, consulting firm, or comparable industry tax leadership role
- CPA, EA, or another recognized tax/accounting certification required
- Experience managing complex tax engagements and client relationships
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
- Strong tax planning, compliance, advisory, and technical accounting knowledge
- Strong project-management skills
- Excellent client-facing and relationship-building abilities
- Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience supporting any of the following industries is highly desirable, but not required:
- Healthcare

Salary : $145,000 - $165,000
