GENERAL PURPOSE of the position:

Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of products by performing the following duties: |

Language Skills Functional command of the English language, both written and oral. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and procedures as required. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, managers, and other production workers.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, diameter, circumference, and volume, and to interpret blueprints.
Reasoning Ability

DESIRED COMPETENCIES:
|
Other Skills and Abilities Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel. The position requires experience working with an automated ERP or MRP system and the ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs). Experience with Visual Manufacturing software is preferred and would be considered an asset in performing the essential functions of the position.

Required Training - required by the holder of the position:

AA degree and three (3) to five (5) years comparable experience in production control; or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
