Title: Engineering Technician Location: Lincoln, Nebraska, 68521 Duration: 6 Months Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain organization of engineering laboratory. Assist engineers with construction, assembly, testing and design during projects. Create or improve processes to increase quality and efficiency with Engineering and Quality personnel. Mentor and help develop skills of required personnel. PCBA receiving inspections, defective PCBA repairs and documentation and project related task in engineering lab. Assist engineering to identify compliance, calibration, and specification issues with an eye for technical accuracy. Troubleshoot electronic circuits down to component level. Evaluate circuit boards through electrical tests and visual inspection to assure quality of all electronic boards used in production. Read electronics schematics. Keep accurate records of RMA repairs and test data, and provide feedback to improve our quality program. Support fast-paced manufacturing test floor. Assemble PCB from ground up Skills: Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Web-Browsers) Knowledge of standard electronic test equipment (DMM, Oscilloscope) as well as more advanced test equipment (Fluke Calibrator, Programmable Power supplies) Able to read and interpret a component data sheet Knowledge of IPC, JEDEC, and RoHS standards a plus Must demonstrate good communication and organizational skills Follows industry and company safety practices in the lab. Education: AAS Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience troubleshooting electronics (1-3 years) At least 1-3 years of SMT and through-hole soldering to IPC standards, including removing and replacing components
