Responsibilities
Pharmacy Production & Preparation
- Prepare customized prescription formulations in accordance with physician-authorized orders and internal preparation procedures
- Complete dilution calculations and preparation steps with a high degree of accuracy
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and material tracking throughout the preparation process
- Support both small-batch and higher-volume workflow production activities
- Maintain procedural consistency and preparation accuracy across all assigned workstreams
- Review prescription details and verify formulation requirements prior to release
Regulatory & Documentation Oversight
- Maintain compliance with applicable compounding and pharmacy practice standards
- Complete preparation logs, batch records, and quality documentation in real time
- Participate in internal review processes, operational audits, and compliance initiatives
- Escalate discrepancies, preparation concerns, or quality-related issues appropriately
- Maintain inspection readiness and adherence to operational controls
Team & Operational Support
- Work closely with pharmacy staff and operational personnel to meet production timelines and workflow goals
- Assist with inventory monitoring and supply coordination
- Support procedural training and operational consistency initiatives
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
- Participate in additional operational responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree
- Active pharmacist license in good standing
- Knowledge of regulated pharmacy preparation standards and documentation practices
- Strong mathematical and calculation skills
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within standardized workflows and operational procedures
- Strong communication skills and professional judgment
- Experience in sterile compounding
