Castaway Burbank, a flagship restaurant renowned for its elevated cuisine, breathtaking views, and unparalleled service, is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team.


What You'll Do:

  • Lead by Example: Oversee daily operations, ensuring seamless service and an exceptional dining experience.
  • Drive Success: Manage a high-volume restaurant, implementing strategies to achieve sales and profitability goals.
  • Foster Excellence: Inspire and develop a high-performing team through training, mentorship, and accountability.
  • Deliver Results: Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction while managing operational efficiencies.
  • Elevate the Experience: Collaborate with the culinary and beverage teams to enhance the upscale dining atmosphere Castaway is known for.


What We're Looking For:

  • Proven Leadership: 5 years of management experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant environment ($20M ), at least 2 of which were at AGM level or higher.
  • Guest-Centric Approach: A dedication to providing exceptional hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Operational Expertise: Strong skills in financial management, inventory control, and staff development.
  • Innovative Vision: Ability to drive initiatives that align with our brand and exceed guest expectations.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a hands-on leadership style.



Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with department heads to optimize service standards, streamline processes, and maintain an exceptional dining experience.
  • Train and supervise staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and uphold our restaurant's high standards.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring proper stock levels of ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation, timely service, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and promotional activities to attract new customers and increase revenue.
  • Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and financial performance.
  • Oversee beverage operations and bar operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, soliciting feedback and addressing any concerns to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment throughout the restaurant.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager in budget planning, cost control, and financial management.


Qualifications:

  • 5 years' experience in a similar level managerial role in a high-volume restaurant environment is required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns.
  • Solid knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office and restaurant management software.
