Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Prepare detailed auto service estimates using automotive diagnostics and auto estimating tools
- Communicate effectively with technicians to relay customer concerns and ensure accurate repairs
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension, alignments, shocks & struts, transmissions, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Manage service writing processes to document repairs accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions and process payments securely at the point of sale
- Follow up with customers on vehicle status updates and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the service process
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or auto service management background in a high-volume shop setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing practices
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell services confidently
- Hands-on mechanic experience or service technician background preferred
- Automotive sales experience is a plus but not required
