Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between tax strategy and execution by preparing complex tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
As a Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in our firm’s growth by serving as the primary engagement lead on key client accounts, conducting in-depth tax research to navigate complex regulatory landscapes, and directly shaping the next generation of accounting talent through mentoring and reviewing the work of junior associates.
This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented tax professional with a strong foundation in public accounting who is looking to step into a leadership role with direct client impact and a clear trajectory toward management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
- Review work prepared by associates, providing guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback to support their development.
- Perform other accounting duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by managers
- Conduct detailed tax research and clearly communicate findings through written memos and direct client interactions.
- Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- CPA Certified, EA Certified (or significant progress toward certification)
- 3 years of public accounting experience focused on tax
- Experience with tax preparation and research software (CCH Axcess, UltraTax, GoSystem, or similar)
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
