Experience & Key Responsibilities:
- Seat patients promptly and maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Assist the orthodontist chairside with procedures, including placing separators, elastic chains, wires, and preparing teeth for bonding and Invisalign attachments.
- Take diagnostic records such as X-rays, CBCT scans, iTero scans, impressions, and complete clinical charting and documentation.
- Monitor and support patient oral hygiene, provide brushing instructions, and educate patients and parents on treatment and post-appointment care.
- Manage clinical setup and turnover, including instrument sterilization, operatory cleaning, stocking supplies, and maintaining organization and readiness.
- Support overall practice operations by attending meetings, following office policies, assisting with additional assigned tasks, and representing the practice professionally.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of dental assisting experience is required (orthodontics preferred)
- be self-motivated, organized, and have a positive attitude
- possess great understanding of dental terminology
- have excellent communication and written skills
- have excellent public relations skills
- work well with patients and team
- be experienced in delivering high-level customer service
- Committed to the position arriving on time daily and staying late as needed.
