Children’s Dental Center is looking for a warm, energetic Patient Coordinator to join our growing pediatric dental practice. Help us create a positive experience for kids and parents from the moment they call our office! This role is a critical part of our practice and will work in a dedicated call-center area on the top floor of our office in central Sioux Falls.

Office Hours:
- Monday: 7am – 5pm
- Tuesday: 7am – 5pm
- Wednesday: 7am – 1:30pm
- Thursday: 7am – 5pm
- Friday: 7am – 12pm
Essential Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls and schedule patients for dental treatment.
- Triage and transfer phone calls as necessary.
- Make outgoing phone calls to confirm patient appointments.
- Update necessary documentation in patients’ charts.
- Monitor the shared office email and respond to inquiries.
- Communicate with external dental offices and handle patient referrals to our practice.
- Additional duties as needed such as following up with patients, transferring records, and other necessary tasks related to scheduling.
- Team members are expected to uphold the culture outlined in the SDB Handbook, with a focus on our core values and any additional responsibilities as defined
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Preferred at least 1 year of experience in a dental office setting.
- Must communicate effectively and demonstrate a passion for customer service.
- Must have a positive, upbeat attitude and display a commitment to helping teammates.
- Compassionate and caring attitude toward patients and parents.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with electronic health records/patient management systems preferred.
- Must arrive on time and adhere to the attendance policy.
