Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and personable Financial Coordinator to join our Parsippany orthodontic team. In this key role, you will be responsible for guiding patients through their financial plans, insurance benefits, and payment options while ensuring accuracy in all administrative financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Explain treatment costs, insurance benefits, and financial options clearly and compassionately.
- Verify insurance coverage and assist patients in maximizing benefits.
- Prepare accurate treatment estimates and present payment plan options.
- Set up financial agreements and enter payment contracts into the practice management system.
- Collect payments and update patient accounts accordingly.
- Answer patient financial inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient financial records.
- Work collaboratively with the scheduling and clinical teams to support a seamless patient experience.
Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or higher preferred).
- Experience in dental/medical billing, orthodontic office financial coordination, or customer service strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of dental insurance benefits and terminology helpful.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling financial information.
- Proficiency with office software and practice management systems.
