Quality Control & Laboratory Specialist
Easton, Maryland (On-Site)
We are representing an international manufacturing company that is expanding operations and staffing a new facility in the Easton, Maryland area. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization and play a key role in quality control, laboratory operations, and product safety within the animal nutrition and feed additives industry.
Responsibilities
- Perform chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products
- Verify compliance with product specifications and quality standards
- Operate laboratory equipment including HPLC, UV-Vis Spectrophotometers, pH meters, titration systems, and moisture analysis instruments
- Investigate and document out-of-specification (OOS) results
- Maintain laboratory records and testing documentation
- Support quality, feed safety, HACCP, HARPC, and FAMI-QS initiatives
- Coordinate laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Partner with Production, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory teams to support manufacturing activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, or related scientific discipline
- 3–5 years of Quality Control laboratory experience
- Experience in food, feed, animal nutrition, specialty ingredients, or chemical manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong analytical chemistry and HPLC experience required
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
International Training
The selected candidate will participate in a 2–4 week training program in Italy, where they will receive hands-on instruction in laboratory methods, manufacturing processes, quality systems, and product knowledge. All travel expenses will be covered.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $80,000 – $95,000
