Job Summary
Now Hiring for a manufacturing company in Rock Hill, SC seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant. This role is responsible for managing customer invoicing, payments, and account reconciliation while working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely collection of receivables.
The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable communicating with customers by phone and email, and experienced in accounts receivable functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and post customer invoices accurately and on time
- Apply incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire, credit card)
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due accounts
- Communicate with customers regarding invoices, payment status, and discrepancies
- Resolve billing issues and short payments in a professional manner
- Maintain accurate customer account records
- Work closely with sales, customer service, and management on account-related matters
- Assist with month-end AR reporting and reconciliation
- Support audit or documentation requests as needed
Qualifications
- Previous accounts receivable or accounting experience required
- Manufacturing or B2B accounting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable speaking with customers regarding billing and payments
- Proficient with basic accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and communication skills
