Position Summary
We are seeking motivated and dependable Medical Coding & Billing Specialists to join our team. Responsibilities
- Review and accurately code medical records using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
- Submit and manage insurance claims for multiple medical specialties.
- Follow up on unpaid, denied, and underpaid claims.
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately and timely.
- Reconcile payment discrepancies and identify billing issues.
- Verify coding accuracy and compliance with payer regulations.
- Work within multiple practice management and EHR software systems.
- Communicate with providers, insurance companies, and clients as needed.
- Assist with account resolution and revenue cycle management activities.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards.
- Perform other billing and coding duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred but not required.
- Previous medical coding and/or medical billing experience preferred.
- Payment posting experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Experience working with multiple insurance carriers and claim submission processes.
- Ability to learn and navigate various practice management and EHR systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
