Overview
Work as a Personal Care Aid directly for a consumer who needs personalized, attentive care. In this role you'll provide support, companionship, and assistance with daily activities to promote the consumer's independence and well-being in their own home. The consumer is your employer and directs your work; Specialist in Care LLC serves as the fiscal management vendor handling payroll and administrative paperwork.
Duties
- Assist consumer with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to enhance comfort and safety.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper nutrition.
- Provide medication reminders and monitor health status, reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry, cleaning, and organizing to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Support consumer with transportation to appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience in in-home caregiving or related fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting with mobility safely.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are advantageous for client outings.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends.
- Knowledge of basic health monitoring techniques and medication management is a plus.
Pay: $13.75 - $15.00 per hour
