Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time role located in Canton, MI, for a Shipping and Receiving Specialist. The Shipping and Receiving Specialist will oversee the daily management of shipments and deliveries, including receiving shipments, inspecting inventory for accuracy, and maintaining organized inventory records. Duties will include packing, labeling, and preparing items for shipping and unloading incoming goods. The specialist will also operate forklifts and ensure adherence to safety protocols during all warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse or logistics

• Proven ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)

• Proven ability to utilize warehouse technology (computer, handheld scanners, etc.)

• Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office, ERPs, shipping software, etc. 

• Ability to lift and move materials/ equipment weighing up to 75 pounds occasionally (less than ¼ of the time) and up to 50 pounds frequently (1/4 of the time). 

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Often for over 75% of an 8-hour shift. 

• Experience with international shipping documents

• Forklift certified 

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
