What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional Position position at Special Education Department?
Seneca Special Services is accepting applications for a Paraprofessional.
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
- Have 60 college credit hours
- Pass the Missouri Paraprofessional Test through ETS
- Have passed the ParaPro Assessment (before September 23, 2013)
- Have passed the Paraprofessional Assessment through Pearson (July 1, 2024 forward)
- Hold a valid Missouri Substitute Certificate (which can be obtained by completing the 20-hour online Substitute Training Program)
The Paraprofessional position provides support to the instructional program within assigned classrooms, with a focus on assisting at-risk students. Responsibilities include:
- Following educational and behavioral plans
- Documenting students’ daily activities
- Modeling appropriate behavior and positive interactions with students and staff
