Regional Sales Manager- New York/New Jersey
SpecChem, headquartered in Kansas City, MO, manufactures specialty concrete chemicals, cementitious repair products, and epoxies in its six manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. SpecChem supplies and services the concrete distributor network with quality construction products that provide performance and value to the industry.
SpecChem is seeking a high‑energy, top‑performing sales professional to enhance and add value to our sales team in the role of Regional Sales Manager. This is a remote position with regular in‑territory travel throughout the New York/New Jersey region. The ideal candidate will reside within South Connecticut or North New Jersey. The successful candidate will be intelligent, energetic, and able to effectively communicate the value SpecChem provides to its distributors.
Salary Range: $130,000–$160,000, plus commission
Salary is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and close new business opportunities while serving and growing existing business
- Establish a comprehensive understanding of the products, marketplace, and the value that SpecChem provides
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential SpecChem customers
- Conduct job site and customer calls
- Participate in calls including: architectural, engineering, DOT, and municipality
- Provide inside and outside customer sales training and support
- Support internal SpecChem repair, customer service, and laboratory training
- Work closely with contractors to drive SpecChem business
- Active involvement in business, customer, and trade associations
- Work closely with SpecChem management and ownership
- Provide marketing support to internal team
- Closely collaborate with existing SpecChem sales and technical team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- 7 to 10 years sales experience preferred; Willing to train a person with the right character, energy, and work ethic
- Skilled in budgeting, planning, scheduling, and communication
- Working knowledge of time/territory management, professional selling skills
- Strong communication and math skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite of products
- Ability to assess customer needs
- Work within corporate vision, mission, and values of organization
