Join our FUN team at the Spearfish Holiday Inn! The Director of Maintenance will oversee and coordinate all operational aspects of the facility to ensure property maintenance is in compliance and provide exceptional guest experiences. This role is responsible for supporting the operational plans and procedures to ensure the highest standards of property upkeep, safety, efficiency, sustainability, cost effectiveness, and guest satisfaction. This will involve collaborating with various departments on a maintenance level to develop and implement best practices, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization’s policies and objectives.
- Monitor the performance of the maintenance team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Conduct regular checks and reviews to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Lead and mentor maintenance team, providing direction, motivation, and support to ensure project goals are met.
- Allocate tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines.
- Conduct performance evaluations, and implement training to enhance team capabilities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Build a cohesive and high-performing team through effective recruitment and retention strategies.
- Encourage collaboration and communication among team members to promote a positive and productive work environment.
- Resolve conflicts within the team efficiently and constructively to maintain a harmonious working environment.
- Collaborate with management to define strategies and goals aligned with the company’s vision.
- Oversee the development and implementation of long-term projects and initiatives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related matters, working with other departments and clients.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience of leadership in facility operations and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to lead by example with integrity, resilience, and professionalism.
Pay range $45,000 - $55,000 Depends On Experience
