Senior AWS Cloud Administrator – GovCloud & Kubernetes
Rate: $76/hr W2, with 13 days PTO and 11 paid holidays
Role Summary:
Seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Administrator to design, deploy, and manage secure AWS cloud infrastructure supporting Kubernetes, containerized workloads, automation, and emerging AI/ML capabilities in a federal security environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS GovCloud infrastructure.
- Administer Amazon EKS and Kubernetes environments supporting production workloads.
- Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Develop and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments.
- Automate operational tasks and troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues.
- Support AI/ML and other cloud-native workloads.
- Improve platform reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Support NIST 800-53 and FISMA security requirements.
- Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, Security, and Architecture teams in an Agile environment.
Required:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Strong hands-on AWS infrastructure administration experience.
- Production experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
- Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
- Experience with CI/CD and cloud deployment automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and cloud operations skills.
- Ability to work full-time onsite in the Washington, DC area.
Preferred:
- AWS GovCloud experience.
- NIST 800-53 / FISMA knowledge.
- AI/ML cloud infrastructure experience.
- GitLab and Jira.
- AWS Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer certification.
- Federal government or financial services experience.
