Are you passionate about social media, food, and storytelling? Speaker Public Relations is looking for a creative, proactive, and trend-savvy Social Media Intern to support our growing roster of local restaurant clients. This is a hands-on opportunity to get real experience at a boutique agency where your voice matters and your work shows up
Responsibilities
- Build and manage influencer lists and local creator databases
- Conduct influencer outreach and coordinate brand collaborations
- Support and participate in content shoots (Reels, behind-the-scenes footage, food styling, etc.)
- Assist with editing and posting engaging social content (video, photo, captions)
- Monitor social trends and contribute creative ideas to client strategies
- Help with occasional media outreach, pitch writing, and local press list updates
Qualifications
- Junior or senior in college majoring in Communication, Radio/TV/Film, Advertising, Marketing, or related fields
- Experience in filming and editing social media content (Reels, TikTok) is preferred
- Passionate about social media and knowledgeable about current trends
- Must have weekday availability to attend daytime shoots at local restaurants
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Reliable transportation (most clients are Austin-based)
