Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items by highlighting specials, promotions, or premium options to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues swiftly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests
- Assist with food handling, preparation support, and basic kitchen tasks when needed to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or nightclub settings, is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and cash handling
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Proven ability to upsell menu items and increase sales through effective guest engagement
- Experience with serving, bussing, host/hostess duties, or guest services enhances your candidacy
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus but not required; a passion for the food industry is essential
