We are seeking a dynamic and creative Fine Arts Teacher to join our high school team for a one-year position, beginning August 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching a variety of art courses, including an Introduction to Fine Arts and a specialized Fiber Arts course. Candidates should be passionate about fostering creativity, building strong relationships with students, and contributing positively to the school community.
Qualifications:
- Valid Vermont Educator’s License (7-12 Art) or eligibility for Vermont licensure.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
- Experience in proficiency-based instruction and assessment.
- Familiarity with Infinite Campus or willingness to learn.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and teach engaging, standards-based fine arts curriculum, including introductory courses and fiber arts.
- Implement proficiency-based instruction and reporting.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student creativity and artistic expression.
- Provide constructive feedback and support student growth in artistic techniques and conceptual thinking.
- Participate in school-wide events, exhibits, and activities that showcase student artwork.
- Serve as an advisor to a small group of students, supporting their academic and personal development.
- Maintain accurate and timely student records using Infinite Campus.
