Position Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations supporting the Controller. Ensure accurate financial reporting and supporting asset-intensive rental operations. This role requires strong knowledge of revenue recognition, fixed asset accounting, and cost tracking in a high-volume, service-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close
- Assist and prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Analyze variances and provide actionable insights to management
Revenue
- Review revenue recognition for rental contracts, service agreements, and project-based work
- Monitor utilization-based billing and ensure accuracy of rental income
- Track and allocate direct and indirect costs across jobs, regions, and business units
Fixed Assets & Inventory
- Assist and reconcile fixed asset module (rental fleet, tools, equipment)
- Oversee depreciation schedules and capital expenditure tracking
- Partner with operations to ensure accurate asset tagging, transfers, and disposals
- Monitor inventory levels, obsolescence, and cycle counts
Accounts Receivable & Cash Flow
- Support AR oversight, including aging analysis and collections strategy
- Work with operations and sales to resolve billing discrepancies
- Assist in managing cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Maintain internal controls and support audit processes (internal & external)
- Assist with tax reporting, including sales/use tax and property tax for equipment
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement efficiencies in accounting processes and systems
- Support ERP implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5–8 years of accounting experience (oilfield services, rental, or industrial services preferred)
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition and fixed asset accounting
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)

Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
