Safety Coordinator
Location: Seneca Falls, NY
Pay Range: $25.00–$33.00 per hour

Position Summary
Spartan Companies, LLC is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support and promote a strong safety culture across multiple projects and job sites. This role is responsible for implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, providing training, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
The ideal candidate is a proactive safety professional who can build relationships, identify risks, and help create a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct job site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries; develop corrective actions.
- Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and employee training.
- Maintain safety records, training documentation, and audit reports.
- Assist with development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Support supervisors and employees with hazard recognition and safe work practices.
- Monitor and track safety performance metrics and corrective actions.
- Participate in customer meetings, safety committees, and project planning activities.
- Promote employee engagement and accountability in workplace safety.
Qualifications Required
- 2 years of safety experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, utility, or related environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites.
Preferred
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
- CHST, ASP, CSP, or other safety-related certifications.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
- Experience supporting safety programs across multiple job sites.
Work Environment
This position includes both office and field work. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors on active construction and industrial job sites, walking job sites, climbing stairs or ladders, and working in varying weather conditions.
