We have and continue to disrupt the Traditional Banking System by proving small and medium size businesses with Revenue Based Financing and Merchant Cash Advance solutions since 2016. The Assistant Financial Controller will be reporting directly to the CFO.
Job Title: Financial Assistant Controller
Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
Job Description:
The Financial Assistant Controller leads the accounting department of (4) to effectively establish and enforce accounting and finance controls while producing monthly, quarterly and YE Financials to be presented to the CFO.
To be considered for this position, it is Required to have 2 of 3 skills bellow (DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU):
- Have over 3 years of experience in accounting for a Merchant Cash Advance or Revenue Based financing or Factoring or Alternative Financing Company or or Lender or Bank
- MBA or Master in Finance, Accounting OR have a active CPA
- 3 years of experience working as a Sr Accountant or Assistant Controller for a Bank or Lender/Funder and producing financials including loan portfolio revenue recognition. Must know: Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent ERP.
Main Job duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise accounting team
- Establish and Enforce Internal Controls
- Enforce month-end close out and produce Monthly Financials in by the 10th of every day.
- Help Prepare financial statements (Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly) and present to CFO
- Prepare financial and management reporting, monthly accruals, and GL account analysis
- Create, Monitor and enforce monthly budget by department and present to CFO

- Assist with related accounting tasks and special projects
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
- Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
- Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
In this role, you'll be utilizing your technical accounting expertise to provide support with:
- Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
- Monthly, Quarterly balance sheet and P & L Fluctuation Analysis
- Monthly expense variance analysis
- Annual budget preparation
- Assuring proper cut-offs are achieved
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
Job Requirements:
- Must know how to recognize loan revenue with the straight and/or simple interest method.
- Advanced proficiency in NetSuite
- Confidentiality
- Ability to multi-task and maintain a high level of detail in a high-volume environment
- Schedule driven and works effectively under tight deadlines
- A strong sense of urgency; deadline-oriented
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance required
- Ability to work independently as well as with others
- Must be proactive and take initiative
