Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and component inspections to prevent future failures.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and leak repairs.
- Repair and service refrigeration units, including ammonia refrigeration systems used in commercial settings.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose electrical issues and perform mechanical repairs effectively.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for each job performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all installation and repair activities.
- Assist in property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems to support overall building operations.
- Operate company vehicles safely while transporting tools and equipment to various job sites.
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving HVAC design modifications or upgrades.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, ventilation, and mechanical components.
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in field service operations.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Skilled in plumbing work related to HVAC installations and repairs.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair, welding, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters; understanding of electrical codes is a plus.
- Experience working with property maintenance teams on system upkeep and upgrades.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in appliance repair where applicable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
