Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Wirer for Switchgear to assemble, electrical switchgear and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of electrical systems, the ability to read blueprints and experience electrical systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability and safety of power distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
Assembly and Wiring:
- Assemble switchgear panels, control cabinets, and other components based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Wire electrical components, according to schematics.
- Terminate and connect cables, wires, and other electrical components.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure wiring and assembly comply with electrical codes, industry standards, and company quality requirements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Review and interpret electrical blueprints
- Communicate progress and challenges to supervisors or project managers.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineers, production teams, and quality control staff to meet project deadlines.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Technical certification in electrical wiring or related field (preferred).
Experience:
- Familiarity with various electrical components, including circuit breakers, relays, and power distribution units.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, drills, and screwdrivers.
- Basic knowledge of electrical standards and codes.
Other Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with medium- or low-voltage switchgear systems.
- Certification in electrical safety or related training.
Work Environment
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing or production environment.
- May involve standing, bending, and repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Occasional overtime or shift work to meet project deadlines.
