Compensation: $60,000 - $102,000 (based on experience)
Position Overview:
Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join an established Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility in Excelsior Springs, MO.
In this role, you will provide hands-on engineering support for manufacturing operations, including equipment, fixtures, tooling, and processes. You will troubleshoot production issues, evaluate equipment and processes, support time studies, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity. You will also support plant ergonomics and Health & Safety initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting, working with equipment, and finding practical solutions to manufacturing challenges.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing processes, equipment, fixtures, tooling, and hand tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and production issues
- Evaluate equipment and manufacturing processes for current and future programs
- Perform and support time studies as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency
- Support ergonomics initiatives
- Assist with plant Health & Safety initiatives
- Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to support production needs
- Provide hands-on support with equipment and process improvements
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field required
- Manufacturing experience required; automotive experience is a plus
- Open to candidates ranging from entry-level with relevant internship experience through 5 years of experience
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- SolidWorks experience preferred; AutoCAD experience also considered
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to problem solving
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
