You'll own the full HSE picture (about 70% safety, 30% environmental), driving improvement on the floor, not just enforcing it from behind a desk. - Dig into what's working and what's not, and drive real process improvement
- Take the LOTO program to the next level
- Track KPIs and use them to guide decisions
- Get on the floor and build genuine relationships with Production Supervisors and Operators
- Keep the site compliant with OSHA, TOSHA, EPA, and all federal/state/local regulations
- Manage environmental programs including chemical tracking, SDS, and wastewater
- Coordinate ISO-related environmental system activities
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations from root cause to corrective action
- Run training programs covering safety practices, fire prevention, chemical handling, and equipment use
- Review new equipment, machinery, and layout changes with safety in mind
- Monitor industrial hygiene (air sampling, noise monitoring, ergonomics, job hazard analyses)
- Conduct inspections and drive fixes
- Keep PPE compliance on point
- Set the standard for visitor and contractor safety
- Maintain accurate HSE records and regulatory reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field
