Retail Assistant Manager

Assistant Manager Responsibilities

• Open and close the store confidently, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately
• Assist customers with inquiries, product recommendations, and resolve issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction
• Support sales management by executing merchandising strategies, pricing adjustments, and promotional displays
• Supervise daily store operations including inventory management, stock replenishment, and POS (Point of Sale) transactions
• Lead and motivate team members through training & development initiatives, fostering a positive work environment
• Review customer orders and finalize designs
• Follow up with customers as needed to ensure they receive the items that best meet their needs
• Manage inventory control, purchasing decisions, and ensure accurate stock levels through effective inventory management practices
• Process sales transactions for customers
• Provide customer support or assistance as needed

Assistant Manager Requirements

• Proven supervisory or assistant manager experience in retail or similar customer-focused environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and handle customer interactions professionally
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation, sales management, and retail math for accurate pricing and budgeting
• Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail management software
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Experience in employee orientation, interviewing, training & development, and team supervision is highly desirable
• Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately and adhere to company policies on security and safety
