This role involves managing inventory, order fulfillment, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. Inventory Associate Tasks & Duties
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments using equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment utilizing RF scanners and order picker tools
- Stock shelves and organize inventory in accordance with warehouse management system (WMS) protocols
- Operate heavy machinery including cranes, forklifts, and reach trucks following OSHA safety standards
- Maintain accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts and audits
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while ensuring safety procedures are followed
- Assist in shipping & receiving activities, ensuring timely order fulfillment
- Support warehouse distribution processes by coordinating with warehouse supervisors and management teams
- Perform general warehouse maintenance, including packaging, materials handling, and stock organization
- Adhere to all safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling
Inventory Associate Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in warehouse or inventory is a plus
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Forklift certification
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehousing and heavy equipment operation
- Mechanical knowledge or construction background can be beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Capable of lifting and moving items in excess of 20 lbs
- Experience in order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, inventory management, or manufacturing environments is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and stock management
