We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish Tutor to join our small business tutoring team as an Assistant Spanish Tutor. The unique role involves working with another tutor side-by-side as their assistant by supporting them in fun and engaging tasks with groups of students of elementary school levels, TK-5th grade. The assistant will help with classroom management, assist small groups of students with assignments, present lessons and ensure a fun and engaging environment for students to apply their Spanish. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals through personalized instruction and support as well as have strong Spanish-speaking skills. Starting at $20/hr.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in Spanish based on student needs: comprehension, conjugating, conversational, reading, fluency, etc.
- Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to create individualized learning plans.
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes student engagement.
- Collaborate with the team on a daily basis and assist with tutor needs.
Skills
- Strong background in Spanish, preferably bilingual with many years of experience speaking.
- Experience working with students of all ages, particularly children, is essential.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey concepts and engage students.
- Previous experience in tutoring/teaching is highly desirable, showcasing an understanding of diverse learning strategies.
- Strong classroom management skills to create a structured yet flexible learning environment.
