Role Description Mitigation Technicians are responsible for performing on-site disaster restoration services, including water extraction, structural drying, smoke and soot cleaning, and mold remediation. Daily tasks include assessing damage, setting up and monitoring equipment, removing debris, performing demolition as needed, and documenting work performed with photos and written notes. Technicians interact with property owners and team members to explain processes, maintain safety standards, and ensure work areas are clean and secure. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Raleigh, NC, which may require occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work in response to emergency calls. The role involves working indoors and outdoors in varied conditions and following company procedures, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
- Basic knowledge of construction, building materials, and restoration or remediation processes, or a strong interest in learning these skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, complete documentation, and adhere to safety protocols.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with property owners, teammates, and supervisors.
