Who We Are:
Space Kinetic is a cleared, venture-backed startup focused on addressing urgent national security priorities. Our goal is to deliver a suite of asymmetric capabilities for space superiority and missile defense leveraging our proprietary electromechanical deployment system, which enables the rapid deployment of low-cost payloads through space without firing a thruster. Space Kinetic is currently assembling its TRL-5 prototype. Our goal is to leverage this platform to provide the United States with a new tool for securing the space domain & catalyzing the emerging space economy.
What You’ll Do:
We are seeking an Operations Assistant to support daily facility organization, maintenance follow-up, inventory support, and general operational tasks at our El Segundo location. This role helps maintain an organized work environment, supports material handling, and assists with day-to-day operational needs across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help maintain organization and cleanliness across operational areas
- Support organization and upkeep of the tool crib
- Track basic inventory and assist with material organization
- Help receive and organize deliveries and supplies
- Support maintenance follow-up and basic facility needs
- Assist with stocking, labeling, and organizing tools and materials
- Work closely with inventory control on material placement and tracking
- Help maintain clean and organized storage areas
- Support general operational tasks as needed across the facility
What It Takes:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in facility support, warehouse support, operations, or similar environment preferred
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment
- Able to lift and move materials as needed
- Reliability and follow-through
- Basic spreadsheet or inventory tracking familiarity is a plus
- Comfortable supporting multiple operational tasks

Compensation:
- $28.00/hourly
Where You’ll Be:
- The position is an onsite role at our headquarters in El Segundo, CA. Domestic travel may be required (up to ~20% of the year).

The annual base salary for this role is below. Pay Grades are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: interviews and an assessment of several factors that are unique to each candidate, job-related skills, relevant education/experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and internal equity.
